Sangria

Sangria - the most classic of Spanish drinks, fruity and refreshing!

Ingredients

  • 750 ml – 3 cups young red wine
  • 2 peaches chopped or thinly sliced
  • 1 apple chopped
  • 10 cherries pitted and halved
  • 1 banana chopped
  • 500 ml – 2 cups fresh orange juice
  • 1 lemon juiced
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 2 tbsp water and 2 tbsp sugar for the simple syrup
  • 500 ml – 2 cups soda water

Instructions

  1. Make a simple syrup by mixing the sugar in the boiling water. Let it cool down completely.
  2. Put the red wine and chopped fruits in a jug.
  3. Add the orange and lemon juice and stir well.
  4. Add the simple syrup and cinnamon stick. Stir well and let it sit at room temperature for 2 hours. Refrigerate.
  5. Just before serving, add the soda water and mix well.
  6. Serve on ice and enjoy.
