Ingredients

  • 1 can condensed milk
  • ¼ cup cocoa powder
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter softened
  • 1 tbsp vanilla extract
  • Chocolate sprinkles

Instructions

  1. Mix the condensed milk, cocoa powder and butter together in a pot
  2. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until the mixture starts to show the bottom of the pan for a couple of seconds when you mix it with a wooden spoon.
  3. When it is ready, mix in the vanilla extract and spread the mixture onto a greased plate.
  4. Let it cool to room temperature before rolling it into small balls. Make sure you grease your hands to do it, so the fudge doesn’t stick on them. Coat them gently in the chocolate sprinkles until completely covered and put them into bonbon paper cups.

Recipe Notes

Brigadeiros can be stored in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 days. The mixture can also be stored, well covered, in the fridge for up to 4 days, brought back to room temperature and then rolled into balls.
