Pizza flavoured Savoury Pastries

How to make 100 Pizza flavoured Savoury Pastries in 20 minutes!

  • 4 puff pastry sheets thawed
  • 10 tbsp tomato purée
  • ½ tbsp oregano
  • 4 anchovies chopped (optional – add a little salt to your sauce if not using anchovies)
  • 150 gms – 5.3 oz. mozzarella shredded
  • Milk to brush


  1. Mix the tomato purée and oregano together.
  2. Spread this mixture onto 2 of the puff pastry sheets. Add the chopped anchovies and the shredded mozzarella.
  3. Top with the remaining puff pastry sheets and press them close with your fingers.
  4. Using a pizza cutter, cut the 2 sets of filled pastry into 2.5 cm – 1 inch squares. Do not detach the squares at this point or the filling will come out while baking!
  5. Brush them with milk and bake them in a pre-heated oven at 200°C - 390°F for 15 minutes or until golden brown.
  6. When ready, let them cool down for 5 minutes, then detach them with your hands or using the pizza cutter.
  7. Let them come back to room temperature before serving.

Recipe Notes

These pastries taste better when just made. I do not advise making them the day before you want to serve them.
