Roasted Pepper and Maple Barbecue Sauce

Roasted Pepper and Maple Barbecue Sauce – a delicious BBQ sauce which will make the perfect accompaniment for burgers, roasted meats, and sausage rolls.

Ingredients

  • 170 gms – 6 oz. roasted red peppers
  • 80 ml – 1/3 cup maple syrup
  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar
  • ½ tsp smoked paprika
  • ¼ tsp salt

Instructions

  1. Blend together the roasted peppers, maple syrup, rice vinegar, smoked paprika, and salt until smooth.
  2. Transfer to a medium pot. Bring to a boil and then reduce the flame and simmer for 8-10 minutes (or until it thickens), stirring frequently to prevent it from burning.
  3. Use as any other bbq sauce.
