Vin Brule - the Italian version of mulled wine. The perfect holiday drink that will warm you up!

Ingredients

lt. – 6 1/3 cups red wine

cinnamon sticks

– 1 ¼ cups granulated sugar

cloves

pinch
nutmeg
Zest of 2 oranges
Zest of 1 lemon

apple
thinly sliced (with the skin on)
Instructions
Put all the ingredients together in a big enough pot. Mix and bring to a boil.
Then simmer for 5 minutes.
Put the fire off, strain and serve immediately.

Vin Brule has to be served hot.
