Apple Orange Hand Pies
Apple Orange Hand Pies - quick and easy to make, with a soft sweet apple and marmalade filling.

Ingredients
Puff Pastry
thawed

apples
cored and diced

tbsp
brown sugar

– 2 tbsp butter

marmalade

apple pie spice mix

Instructions
Peel and dice the apples into small cubes.
Put it in a sauce pan with the brown sugar, apple spice mix, butter and marmalade.
Cook on a low fire until soft. You may need to add a little water, depending on the apples you are using. Let the filling cool down.
Use a 13 cm – 5 inch round cookie cutter to cut the dough into 8-10 circles.
Add one heaping tablespoon of filling to the center of each dough circle, leaving as much liquid behind as possible.
Fold the dough in half and use your fingers or a fork to seal the edges.
Place hand pies on prepared baking sheet.
In a small bowl, whisk the egg. Use a pastry brush to lightly brush the tops of the hand pies with the egg wash.
Bake in a pre-heated oven at 180°C – 355°F for 20 minutes or until golden brown.
Allow the hand pies to cool and serve.
