Marinated Feta

How to make some scrumptious Marinated Feta at home!

  • 250 gms – 9 oz. feta I like sheep’s milk feta the most
  • ½ tsp peppercorns
  • 1/8 tsp ground black pepper
  • ½ tsp dry oregano
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 1 small garlic clove
  • Extra virgin olive oil enough to cover the feta


  1. Cut the feta into 3 cm – 1 ¼ inch cubes.
  2. In a jar, mix together the spices, herbs and garlic clove.  Add 2 tablespoons of extra virgin olive oil and mix well.
  3. Add the cubed feta and cover it with more extra virgin olive oil.
  4. Close the lid very tight and gently shake the jar to distribute the spices.
  5. Refrigerate at least overnight before serving.
  6. Serve with some crusty bread, like my ciabatta.  Make sure to soak up the oil too: it’s delicious!
