Grilled Radicchio with Gorgonzola Sauce

A very simple recipe for a special vegetarian dish: Grilled Radicchio with Gorgonzola Sauce.

  • 2 radicchio’s
  • 100 gms – 3.5 oz. gorgonzola
  • 150 ml – 10 tbsp cream
  • Extra virgin olive oil to brush the radicchio
  • Salt and Pepper to taste


  1. Remove the outer leaves from your radicchio, wash and cut them in halves.
  2. Brush the halves with extra virgin olive oil on all sides and season with salt and pepper.
  3. Grill on a hot griddle on both sides for a few minutes, until softened.
  4. In the meantime, put the cream and gorgonzola in a saucepan and melt the cheese on a low flame, stirring.
  5. When ready, put the radicchio on a serving plate, drizzle with the gorgonzola sauce and serve warm.
