Blood Orange Sorbet

A very easy recipe to make your own Blood Orange Sorbet!

  • 4 blood oranges juiced
  • ¼ cup sugar


  1. Put the sugar and half the juice in a small pot. Heat it until the sugar is dissolved.
  2. Pour the sugar and juice mixture in with the rest of the juice and strain it to get a smoother sorbet.
  3. Put it in the fridge to chill completely until ready to make your sorbet.
  4. Churn in your ice cream maker for 20 to 30 minutes, or follow the manufacturer’s instructions.

Recipe Notes

Serve immediately (you can make it a couple of hours before serving it and keep it in the freezer. If you keep it overnight though, the juice may crystallise and the sorbet may harden.)
Enjoy as a dessert or as a palate cleanser in between courses.
