Garlic Breadcrumbs

  1. Crush the garlic cloves in a mortar and pestle. Add the breadcrumbs and extra virgin olive oil. Mix well and keep it aside.

Sauce

  1. Sauté the garlic in the extra virgin olive oil for a minute. Make sure not to burn it, or it will taste bitter.
  2. Add the tomato purée and 1/4 cup of water, mix and cook, covered and on a slow flame, for 10 minutes.

  3. Add the tuna and mix. Cook the sauce for another 5 minutes. Then put the fire off and keep it aside.
