Low Fodmap Pesto – a traditional Italian recipe that can be easily adapted for more delicate tummies. And it tastes just like the original.

  • 3 cups fresh basil leaves washed
  • 2 tbsp pine nuts
  • 3 tbsp garlic-infused olive oil
  • 1 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 ½ tbsp Parmigiano Reggiano finely grated
  • Salt to taste


  1. Put the pine nuts, salt, basil, garlic-infused olive oil, and extra virgin olive oil in the bowl of a stick mixer and blend into a fine paste.
  2. Add the Parmigiano Reggiano and mix well.
  3. Put in in a bowl and cover with extra virgin olive oil to prevent it from oxidising.
  4. Serve on your low fodmap pasta or gnocchi.
