Blood Orange Margarita

There’s no better match for ghost stories and pumpkin lanterns than a Blood Orange Margarita. Bright, tart, and just spooky enough for grown-up treats.

  • Red food colouring
  • Corn starch
  • Salt or sugar

Blood Orange Margarita

  • 2 oz blood orange juice –freshly squeezed
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1 oz Cointreau or Grand Marnier
  • oz Tequila

  1. Rim a margarita glass with either salt or sugar.
  2. Mix the red food colouring with a little corn starch, just enough to thicken it so it can stick to the glass.

  3. Apply this “blood” on the glass with your fingers. Keep aside to dry.

Blood Orange Margarita

  1. Pour all ingredients into a cocktail shaker filled with ice.

  2. Shake well, then strain the mixture into the prepared glass.
  3. Serve immediately.
