Strawberries in White Wine

Strawberries in White Wine - the perfect end of meal dish that can easily substitute dessert as the wine becomes almost a strawberry flavoured syrup.

Ingredients

  • 400 gms – 1 lb. strawberries hulled and quartered
  • 80 gms – 6 ½ tbsp sugar or to taste
  • 300 ml – 1 ¼ cup dry white wine

Instructions

  1. In a jug, mix together the white wine and sugar.
  2. Add the quartered strawberries to the white wine mixture.
  3. Mix and allow the strawberries to macerate in the fridge for 30 minutes.
  4. Put into a glass and serve chilled.
