Rich dark chocolate blended with peaches turns into the creamiest Peach Chocolate Dessert that’s surprisingly easy to make and even better straight from the fridge.

Slice of peach chocolate dessert topped with almond flakes and a peach slice.

Every now and then, a recipe combination catches people by surprise, and this peach and chocolate dessert definitely did that for me. At first, I couldn’t quite imagine peaches and dark chocolate working together. It sounded unusual, maybe even a little strange.

But once I tried it, it made complete sense.

Chilled chocolate dessert garnished with peach slices and almond flakes.

Peaches and chocolate are an unexpectedly good combination. The peaches soften the richness of the chocolate and give the dessert a lighter feel than many traditional chocolate desserts.

This viral peach and chocolate dessert is smooth, rich, and chocolatey, somewhere between a chocolate slice and a soft truffle.

With only a couple of ingredients, you get something that feels quite indulgent without much effort at all.

It’s also a great way to use pantry staples like canned peaches, and it works perfectly when you want a no-bake dessert with very little preparation.

Reasons to Make This Viral Peach and Chocolate Dessert

  • Canned peaches make this easy to prepare without waiting for peach season.
  • Dessert can be prepared the night before serving, which makes entertaining easier.
  • Pantry ingredients make this useful when you need dessert without planning ahead.

Key Ingredients for Peach Chocolate Dessert

Bowl of peach slices beside chopped dark chocolate pieces.

Canned Peaches

Canned peaches add sweetness and a soft fruit flavour throughout the dessert. Peach halves packed in juice work especially well because they blend smoothly and keep the dessert from becoming too sweet.

Dark Chocolate

Dark chocolate gives the dessert its rich, chocolatey flavour and smooth texture once chilled. Chocolate with around 60–70% cocoa solids gives a good balance without becoming too bitter.

Peach Slices

Fresh peach slices add colour and freshness when serving. Ripe yellow peaches are a good choice because they hold their shape well and have a naturally sweet flavour.

Almond Flakes

Almond flakes add a light crunch against the smooth chocolate filling. Lightly toasted almond flakes also add a slightly nuttier flavour.

Find the complete list with measurements in the recipe card below.

How to Make Peach Chocolate Dessert

Step 1: Line a 19 cm x 9 cm – 7.5 x 3.5 inch loaf pan with baking paper, leaving enough overhang on the sides for easy removal.

Step 2: Melt the dark chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl in short bursts, stirring well between each burst until smooth and fully melted.

Smooth melted dark chocolate in a glass bowl with a spatula.

Step 3: Put the drained peaches into a blender or food processor and add the melted chocolate. Blend until the mixture is completely smooth and creamy.

Step 4: Pour the mixture into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top evenly with a spatula.

Step 5: Refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or preferably overnight, until fully set.

Step 6: Once firm, lift it out of the pan using the baking paper overhang and slice into portions.

Step 7: Decorate each slice with a small peach slice and a sprinkle of almond flakes before serving.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I use milk chocolate instead of dark chocolate?

You can, but the dessert will be softer and noticeably sweeter. Dark chocolate gives a firmer texture once chilled.

Do I need to use canned peaches?

No. Fresh peaches work well too, especially when they’re ripe but still slightly firm. Peel them first for a smoother texture.

How can I help the dessert set properly?

Drain the peaches well before blending and use dark chocolate around 60% cocoa solids. Too much liquid or chocolate with a lower cocoa percentage can leave the dessert softer after chilling.

Can I make this recipe without a blender?

A food processor works well too, but the mixture should be blended until completely smooth for the best texture.

Extra Help from the Kitchen

Use Room Temperature Peaches – Very cold peaches can cause the melted chocolate to thicken too quickly when blended together.

Tap the Tin Before Chilling – Gently tap the loaf tin on the bench after filling it to remove trapped air bubbles and help the top settle evenly.

Dry the Peaches Well – Pat the peaches lightly with a paper towel after draining if they still seem watery. Extra moisture can make the dessert softer once chilled.

Let the Dessert Sit for a Few Minutes Before Slicing – Straight from the fridge, the chocolate can feel quite firm. A few minutes at room temperature make slicing easier.

Toast the Almond Flakes First – Lightly toasted almond flakes add more crunch and a slightly nuttier flavour that works particularly well with dark chocolate.

Variations and Twists

Use Fresh Peaches – Swap the canned peaches for ripe fresh peaches when they’re in season. Peel them first for a smoother texture, and choose peaches that are ripe but still slightly firm because softer peaches release more liquid once blended.

Choose Dark Chocolate Chips or Bars – Dark chocolate chips or chopped chocolate bars both work well here. Chocolate around 60% cocoa gives the best texture and flavour, while darker chocolate can make the dessert firmer and slightly more bitter.

Add a Biscuit Crumb Base – Press crushed digestive biscuits mixed with melted butter into the loaf tin before adding the filling. It adds a little crunch and turns the dessert into a chilled tart-style slice.

Serve with Fresh Berries – Add raspberries or strawberries alongside each slice for a fresher contrast against the rich chocolate flavour.

Add Chocolate Shavings – Scatter dark chocolate shavings over the top before serving for extra texture and a stronger chocolate flavour.

Storage and Shelf Life

Store Peach Chocolate Dessert in an airtight container in the fridge and consume within 2–3 days. Freezing isn’t recommended because the texture can change once thawed.

This dessert is best served chilled straight from the fridge.
