Skillet Marmalade Pork Chops

Don’t you just LOVE pork chops?? I sure do. My mum would often stir fry them for a quick, yet delicious dinner.

That’s still a favourite at our place, even though I have been experimenting a bit more in the last few years (remember these amazing Vietnamese Pork Chops?)

Today’s recipe is yet another winner: Skillet Marmalade Pork Chops.

They are juicy and sticky and oh so good. All you need to do is mix together the marinade ingredients, add the pork chops and wait for 20 minutes… then cook the pork chops for about 10 minutes and serve.

Skillet Marmalade Pork Chops

Skillet Marmalade Pork Chops – juicy and sticky sweet and sour pork chops ready in less than 30 minutes. The perfect finger-licking dinner recipe!

Ingredients

  • 4 pork chops bone in
  • ½ onion chopped
  • 1/3 cup orange marmalade
  • ¼ cup extra virgin olive oil
  • ¼ cup molasses
  • ¼ tsp ginger grated
  • 2 tbsp orange juice
  • ¾ tbsp balsamic vinegar
  • Orange slices
  • Rosemary to garnish
  • Salt to taste

Instructions

  1. Start by preparing the marinade. In a Ziploc bag, mix together the orange marmalade, molasses, extra virgin olive oil, grated ginger, orange juice, balsamic vinegar, and salt to taste (about 1 tsp).

  2. Add the pork chops and coat well. Marinate in the fridge for 20 minutes.

  3. Caramelise the chopped onion in a dry skillet for a couple of minutes.

  4. Add the pork chops and the marinade.

  5. Cook on medium high for about 10 minutes (or until cooked through) flipping the pork chops while cooking. The marinade will get a little sticky and super delicious.

  6. Decorate with orange slices and rosemary.

  7. Serve warm.
