PASTA WITH SICILIAN STUFFED ARTICHOKES

Pasta with Sicilian Stuffed Artichokes

Today I am sharing a pasta recipe – Pasta with Sicilian Stuffed Artichokes – in a guest post at Chef Dennis’ blog, A Culinary Journey.  I think pretty much all food bloggers know Chef Dennis.  He is a very talented chef, but above all he is a very kind person and someone who is always ready to help others.  I first “met” him through Foodbuzz and I am so happy we remained in touch even after the Foodbuzz era came to an end.  He is actually the reason why I joined Google+ and his posts about this new social media channel have been really helpful for me.  If you have a Google+ account, don’t forget to add him to your circles (you can find him here).

Pasta with Sicilian Stuffed Artichokes

When Chef Dennis asked me to write a guest post for him, I was thrilled as I really admire his work!  Deciding what to make was a bit harder though: I wanted something that represented me and my blog!  After trying out a couple of recipes, I chose this pasta.

Pasta with Sicilian Stuffed Artichokes

It is a recipe that my nonna from Palermo used to make for me when I would visit her and I am quite attached to it.  Besides, artichokes are my favourite winter vegetable.  I love their bitter-sweet taste!

This is a very hearty, yet sophisticated dish that will please even the fussiest eater.  How could anyone resist a pasta dish served with artichoke hearts stuffed with a delicious sweet and savoury filling, and then topped with Pecorino Romano cheese??  I know I couldn’t… so if you are anything like me, please head over to Chef Dennis’ site to say hi and read the details of my recipe!  Enjoy!

I was in Roma a year ago and indulged in artichokes. Your Sicilian method looks like a keeper, can’t wait to try it! Glad to find you through Chef Dennis. Italian / Mediterranean food is some of my favorite so I’ll be perusing your site often. From the tomato capital of California 😉

I so love artichokes but they are so hard to find here. I miss them. I will pop over and see the recipe.

You’re absolutely right ~ this is a very healthy, yet hearty dish. I love the combination of artichokes with pasta. Artichokes were my mom’s favorite and I often think of how she enjoyed them with vinegar dressings. Now your recipe gives me a whole new meal idea. Thanks for sharing, Manu! Glad you came over to Chef Dennis “A Culinary Journey” for a guest post!

This dish looks delicious. I love artichokes too. I usually stuff them with meat and they become the meal.

Herbes de Provence is a traditional French herb blend usually made with herbs such as thyme, rosemary, oregano, and savoury.

It's a simple way to add extra flavour to everyday ingredients and works especially well with eggs, tomatoes, roasted vegetables, potatoes, chicken, and soups.

Have you used Herbes de Provence before?

Ever wondered why your iced matcha tastes differen Ever wondered why your iced matcha tastes different every time?

It’s not just about the ingredients. Small details like the quality of the matcha, how you sift it, and how you whisk it can completely change the result.

Once you start paying attention to these steps, it becomes much easier to get a smoother, more balanced matcha at home 🍵
