These are the cupcakes I made for my daughter’s birthday party. My kids have a very sweet tooth (they took this after their daddy! ;-P), so cupcakes are a must for their birthday parties. I love making them as I have great fun, especially deciding on the decorations and colours. I was not very adventurous with the flavours this time, as there were quite a few little ones at the party and I wanted to make sure they ate them… and you can’t go wrong with chocolate and vanilla! To make the chocolate cupcakes I used a new recipe and I liked it just as much as the one I usually make, so I am going to share it with you. These cupcakes include “real” chocolate and not only cocoa powder, so they are quite rich in taste. I decorated them with some simple vanilla icing and I made a few blue ones and a few green ones to symbolise the “sky/pond” and the “grass”. To complete them, I topped them with some fondant decorations: fluffy white clouds, ducks, suns, George Pig’s dinosaur and Peppa Pig’s face. Enjoy!
