The weather here is getting warmer and strawberries are in season, sweet and full of flavour! So I didn’t think twice and took my ice cream machine out to make this easy and delicious Strawberry Granita! Italians are famous for their frozen treats and we often have granita for breakfast. Make sure to serve this strawberry version with some whipped cream! And if you like ice cream, sorbets and granitas, remember you can find more recipes in my The Cool Side of Summer e-Book! As you may know, October is breast cancer awareness month and it provides an opportunity for us all to focus on breast cancer and its impact on those affected by the disease in our community. Many women are diagnosed each day in Australia, and while survival rates continue to improve, awareness and research are the key! I myself had a huge scare a few months ago and I am extremely grateful that everything turned out to be well, but remember that regular check ups are paramount! This pink Strawberry Granita is the perfect recipe for such an important occasion! Please, help spread awareness and scroll down for useful links.
