If you follow me on Facebook, you will know that this year we hosted a little New Year’s Eve party at our place. We had a Spanish theme. We started off with some Pineapple Mojitos and then we had Sangria and a few tapas: Stuffed Mushrooms, Smoked Salmon, Chorizo en Salsa, Manchego, Jamon Serrano, salami style Chorizo, Oysters, Gambas al Ajillo and one of my friends brought Potato Tortilla, Mushrooms Escabeche and Salt Cod Brandade. As main dish we had a Mixed Paella and then 2 desserts: Chocolate Mousse and Crema Catalana. I know, it sounds like A LOT of food and… it was! We had a blast and it was a delicious way to celebrate the new year. I am going to share a few new recipes I tried for the occasion… the ones we liked the most. Today, I will start with this tasty tapa, a very easy one to make and a crowd pleaser: Chorizo en Salsa. Buen Provecho!

Now that’s the way to bring in the new year. I love chorizo but I’ve never used it in a dish like this. Well done!
