I loooove coffee, but then again, I probably wouldn’t be Italian if I didn’t, right? This Vegan Cold Coffee Drink is so good and refreshing, so I am very happy to share it with you all.
Italians drink a lot of coffee, mainly espresso. In summer, I love to have cold coffee after lunch or Coffee Granita for breakfast – yep, that’s the typical Sicilian summer breakfast!
This drink is a variation on a cold coffee drink that is suitable for vegans, people who can’t have dairy, and people on a low fodmap diet. Basically, everyone can have it!
I added a little unsweetened cocoa powder to this Vegan Cold Coffee Drink and I must say it goes really well with the coffee flavour!
The best thing is that besides being vegan, this drink is also low fodmap, so I too can enjoy it without problems. Just keep in mind that caffeine can still be a gut irritant to some people, so if you are particularly sensitive to it, try it with a single espresso first.
Enjoy and don’t forget to check out my video recipe and to leave a comment to let me know how you like it!

I like the addition of the cocoa to this drink. Low acid coffee beans can help with any gut irritation, so worth a try too.
