I made these Peacock Cupcakes as part of my daughter’s 8th birthday celebrations. She had an India-themed party, so after making Mehndi Cupcakes and an Indian Cake, I thought to make Peacock Cupcakes to take to school for her classmates.
Indian Cake
As you may remember, just before Christmas, my youngest daughter turned 8. She wanted an Indian themed birthday party, so she and her sister could wear the beautiful Indian outfits their grandma got for them from India.
7 Year Blogiversary
Two days ago, Manu’s Menu turned 7! Can you believe it’s been that long? And what an incredible journey it has been! I have learnt so much along the way (have a look at one of my first posts’ pictures!) and I have met, although mainly virtually, many amazing people throughout the years.
Ziti with Neapolitan Meat Ragout #Napolicious
I am very excited about today’s recipe! I am partnering with Pasta Garofalo to bring to you Ziti with Neapolitan Meat Ragout, the quintessential Sunday supper meal. Mehndi Cupcakes
Just before Christmas, my youngest daughter turned 8. She wanted an Indian themed birthday party this time, so she and her sister could wear the beautiful Indian outfits their grandma got for them from India.
Frozen Piña Colada
I love a good rum-based cocktail and this Frozen Piña Colada is one of my all time favourite drinks. I have had some pretty good ones in Central America, where they have amazing pineapples and coconuts. By the way, did you know that piña colada has been the national drink of Puerto Rico since 1978?…
Croquembouche
I love choux pastries. I could eat 10 all by myself if left unattended! So, this Christmas I thought of trying my hands at making the in-famous Croquembouche, a traditional French dessert made with cream puffs filled with pastry cream and then dipped in caramel, and piled into a cone. For some reason, I had…
Chocolate Yule Log
As you know, I grew up in Milan, in Northern Italy. Milan is in a fantastic area, just in the middle of Europe, which made travelling very easy even in the pre-low-flight-era. My parents have always loved Paris, so we would go there at least once a year, usually before Christmas. So, I have had…
Pigs in a Blanket Wreath
I love pigs in a blanket… they would always be served for parties when I was growing up, so I guess they remind me of happy times. I also love how easy they are to make. So this Holiday Season, I thought of serving them in a special way and I made the most delicious…

Pizza Christmas Tree
I love puff pastry treats! They remind me of my childhood as they would always be part of all our festive spreads. This Pizza Christmas Tree is very easy and quick to make and it looks impressive. It would definitely make for a great appetiser idea to serve to family and friends this coming Christmas….
Reindeer Rice Krispies Treats
Even though it’s summer here in Australia, I still like to come up with fun Christmas projects to make with the kids… but because of the heat, I tend to prefer recipes that don’t necessarily require baking. These Reindeer Rice Krispies Treats fit the bill perfectly. They are very easy to make and will keep…
Christmas Tree Cupcakes
These Christmas Tree Cupcakes are so much fun to make! I baked chocolate cupcakes to use as the base of the tree and then topped them with green vanilla buttercream to make the tree. To decorate the “tree” you can use anything you like. I used mini chocolate chips of different colours, silver pearls and…
Edible Christmas Gifts 2017 Round Up
I can’t believe it is almost Christmas already! It feels like yesterday that I put away last year’s Christmas decorations! Anyhow, I won’t complain. At the end of the day, it is still my favourite time of the year. Minus the Christmas shopping, that is. I find that stressful… So, I often make Edible Christmas…
Thanksgiving 2017 Round Up
I know, I know… I am not American and I don’t live in the USA either. However, the majority of my readers, do. So, with Thanksgiving coming up, I thought it would be nice to put together a little Round-Up specifically for this occasion. Probably not many of you know that the first time I…

5 Minute Vanilla Cake
My eldest daughter turned 10 a couple of weeks ago! Yes, 10… double digits already! As her birthday fell during the winter school break, we decided to postpone her party to the following week. However, I couldn’t leave her without a cake on her birthday!! So, I made her this quick 5 Minute Vanilla Cake….
White Chocolate Apricot Pistachio Bark
Don’t you just love chocolate bark? I had some leftover white chocolate and dried apricots, and I just couldn’t resist to urge to mix them up! This White Chocolate Apricot Pistachio Bark tastes delightful and it’s very quick and easy to make! I know bark is mainly a Christmas thing, but then again, it is…
Lamb Tajine
There is nothing I like more than to eat stew on a winter’s day. Sometimes, I like to add a touch of exotic to my dinner, so instead of making a “normal stew”, I make tajine. I have already shared my recipes for Lamb Tajine with Quinces and Lemon Chicken Tajine with Olives – 2 of my…
Italian Lemon Meringue Shooters
If you follow my blog more or less regularly, you will know that I love desserts that can be served in shooter glasses. Creamy desserts that can be eaten with a spoon have always been my weakness, and I love to serve them in smaller portions, especially as part of a buffet, so I can…
Fiadoni
This year’s Easter recipe is Fiadoni. Fiadoni are a typical Easter dish from Abruzzo, in Central Italy. They are savoury ravioli, filled with cheese and then baked until golden brown. Usually, the cheese is a mix of dry grated sheep’s milk cheese (like Pecorino Romano) and a milder, less aged sheep’s milk cheese. I used…
