Today I will share with you my Easter 2020 Round Up, with plenty of delicious recipes and fun ideas to prepare during the Easter time.
So, what do Italian eat for Easter? As Easter is in spring in the Northern Hemisphere, Italians eat plenty of springtime vegetables during this time of the year. You will find lots of zucchini, artichokes, spinach, asparagus, and lemons on our menus.
However, the stars of the show are usually lamb and eggs, used in a huge variety of combinations. For dessert, besides chocolate eggs, we eat lots of ricotta-based sweets, like Cassata and Pastiera.
While we tend to spend Easter Sunday with our families, we often get together with friends on Easter Monday and we go “out of town” for a picnic in the countryside. That’s when we have barbecues and all sorts of savoury pies. So expect to also find some of these ideas in the links below.
